a tickle of the ivories
and the gigolos and gigolettes
turn in your direction

a lesson learned
amidst the smoke
and the stale smell of lager

netted legs
and vials of love for sale
you play them in the key of melancholy

satin shoulders
begs your touch in E
and the tears begin to well

the foreign grinner
laughs up his puke
as his bottle demands equal time

satin shoulders
looks to your fingers
for wisdom and truth

the foreigner slaps her behind
and trollies off
   …with her in tow

over her satin shoulders
she looks back
…just as you make the key change

She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast".

Ahhh  . . . The life of a saloon . . . er . . .
lounge piano man . . . Sees it all taking place
through the smoky haze and bleary eyes, a good man
on the keys doesn't need to look at 'em . . .

Whether it be strings or keys JerryPat, a quick glance or two is all they get.

I want to see the tomatoes and beer bottles BEFORE they arrive!

I admire the way you can do a quick study of people in a few creative words. Your imagery engages all the senses. Works for me TF ~L

I'll see what I can dig up JerryPat. There's nothing current that's been posted that I'm aware of to link to. The only posted videos that were done by me was promotional stuff for a search engine called 'Scour". It was pretty funny and fun to do. Frankly, I don't even know if Scour survived.

I barely did! (You too, I suspect... )

Miss Lori,

If what you say is true, then I am but a humble reflection of your own talents and abilities.

Perhaps we travel on parallel roads, you and I. If you notice the distracted driver in a small blue convertible, that would be me.

Give me a toot and a wink as you pass by.
