Spring’s Yawn

tis a calm
and drippy morning
with rain
trickling past the orb

a springing
of the dawning
as sol climbs
with minutes stretching

a quietness
a solitude commences
as resting
is the norm for thee

scrolling through
the hours at hand
as seconds
tick silently away

what is this
peacefulness ensuing
when life’s
transition looms

one’d think
it’s time for movement
not lolling,
basking beneath this gray

yet quietude
holds me in its grasp
I reach not
to break its hold

rather claim
its wondrous blessing
as cocoon shelters
within its fold

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thank you, happy it was a cozy moment.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Spent many years cocooning myself.  Sometimes that solitude can be most precious.

hard to break free of that enthrallment, even when you *know you should up-n-move it

a slice of quietude here, indeed!
