Somber salutations-
from me to that black dawn.
Cremation of a moment-
now, forever, gone...
It soared 'n' wept-
forever crept,
and then?
did not belong.

I ache for that
which has long past-
To still the hand
on hourglass-
Rewind child's play
and make it last-
Emotions, 'lone
shall hold them fast.

Ensconced in time
for all to taste-
My highs, my lows
my happy face.
My bare, exposed
-all laid to waste

If I should ever find the time
I'd pour it out-
line by line,
Look it over-
self-reflect,
And sign my name,
comma, : With Respects

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

First stanza is absolutely fabulous.  We poets do seem to pour it all out on paper, and expose ourselves wholly.  Stark is the word that comes to mind here...  the draw to your soul is almost eclipsing.  Makes one just want to abandon self completely to follow.  That is a beautiful thing to me.  Great ending as well.
Even my muse couldn't touch this.

You zeroed in on what it like like to suddenly realize that the aging process has snuck up on you and you, as am I, are not very happy with it.

"If I ever should find the time..." yes, so many thoughts just waiting to be expressed, but how time flies, and we can never catch up with it.  *sigh* when can I ever sit down to do it. lovely piece
