on person one bee the room's too small summer night even the moon and stars whispering fine secrets barrel burning brightly the homeless still cold late summer twilight a cicada cry drills into my heart this spring day lingers in meadows the sound of grasshopper wings the summer moon rides an infinite sky horizon toward the vanishing point of time aurora, then a shooting star --- b. e. adams (3/2015) |
