It was in the still where sound
conceived you

Under the reticent while
of whist

Both of my ears slowly
started
to paint you

Pushing down all of the
harm
on its knee

She was now heard and he
was now hymn

Locked in a union of choral and
limb

We were the classical cry
of the clamor

Living a silent sonata
in song

Birth on a ballad,
death
on a prayer

We saved the poetry
gasping
for air

She was the music and I
was the words

Play us and let all our
feelings,
be heard
