Branches crossover
reflect on the sky
where a three penny opera
plays in the distance

in unison clouds resurrect
pour on the half moon

the thud on the heart
the overgrown fog, where I'd have
to decipher you, as you hid
from the thunderstorms

missing you

hoping you're blissful
over the bridge of the rainbow
with the others befriending you

missing you

but more so
when the clouds connect
(as on that day when we found each other)

playing the rain chords
in the keys of the ones
that went missing

This, Emma, is ultra sad. Your words were so poignant that I actually felt it in my heart each time I came to the lines, "missing you." You reached out and touched me this morning.

'Missing you poems' are so poignant to all, especially when they are so poetically adept.

Dear EmmaRose, I am so sad and sorry that your cat did not come back! You have written a heartwrenching poem about this loss. Masterful and beautiful, it made me cry.

Hugs.

If I didn't read the title, I would have thought you were missing a person you loved. but we do love our pets like they are humans, and I know my granddaughter's heart would break if her cat went missing.

I like how the gentle sadness of your loss is expressed here.

EmmaRose,And just today I heard  a person's  lost cat was returned to her after five years. It was brought to an animal hospital and had the chip in her ear so was returned to the rightful owner. She said she felt someone had stolen her pet.Imagine her heart when her pet was returned.I hope you find yours. best to you, Jo
