Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Sittin’ in my new P.J.’s,
in the middle of the afternoon,
with nothin’ but dishes to do.
I’m lounging in the softest of velour
as my memories take a tour of Christmas
so far…

Christmas isn’t over
until the decorations come down.
And even though
some may go the day after
and put it all away,
I wait till long after New Year’s Day.

The house is quiet.
I am all alone.
I’m peaceful and content as I can be.
Just me in my new P.J.’s,
looking at my little Christmas tree.

Lovely words from a lovely person in her new P.J.'s

This one has a cozy feel to it, just like the soft velour.  Well done.  It gives me a feeling of contentment just reading it.

Very cute...loved the PJ's.  Reminds me of a quote on a picture I have hanging in my home that reads...

"How nice it is to do nothing all day, then relax afterwards"

Winding down after the holidays is definitely a blessing. I'm pooped but it was fun.

I have plenty yet to do Ida, I'm not taking the decorations down and that will take a day. My daughter wants me to finish painting her room and my husband wants me to help him split wood. So, there goes my doing nothing! No rest for the wicked as they say!

Yeah, we're a "after New Years" family too!  We nurse it long as we can, I mean, once a year and have to make all the effort worth it,
right???

Besides, this year it's simple --- we only (er, um, My Wife) did put up a tree, so that's all that'll have to come down!
