    Love and Spring

Clouds beyond clouds
dance with an enigmatic
December moon, under
the spell of Time and a
restless Winter wind,
above dark-cold trees
burdened deep with
  heavy snow.
To what netherworld
does this place belong
on a night when all
hopes and dreams
have frozen fast
and we are as the
flakes of snow,
a flash of beauty
in a moment lost.
Yet somewhere …
somewhere, there
must be Love and
  Spring
