immense is the universe
and the worlds
spinning within its realm
forest wide, deserts wider
cities, people
each with their own
problems, hurts
thinking their dire straits
supersedes everybody else's
eh . . .
in reality
they are living on the edge
of the cosmos
their dying breath
does not even nudge the immensity
of their deep space world

This is a good write and a different way of looking at things around us but if you think about it, the very lives we live tend to be our seperate universe from the bigger picture only because that is the only universe we can sometimes control so, in a way, it makes sense to feel like your personal problems do supercede other universal problems unless the bigger picture can be controled by one persons actions. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much, KAM39. We seem to ponder back to that old standby, "What's it all about, Alfie." The greatest minds of history has written thousands of tomes and epic poetry to seek the answers we all so desperately need answering . . . Still, I wonder if, when answered would that still our thirst for more?

It is kind of like a grain of sand: insignificant in the Sahara but extremely significant in your eye.
