     Summer’s End

The edges of this night
are dark and silent
as a chill wind speaks
of Summer passing
in the brittle voice
of Autumn’s falling
  leaves;
but cruelest Winter,
bleak and bare,
shall not compel
my life to vast
  despair
for you are my every
finest hope and dream
of Love and eternal
  Spring.

I like this very much - especially the ending!
