I truly thought I had run out of words
concerning the possibility
of writing another novel
I'm still able to put together
words for poetry
although even I can see I don't do it
as well as I did before
still . . .
but I have discovered
with the help and encouragement of a dear friend
I decided to try
once more to write a novel
hoping my well of plotting and thought
hadn't really deserted me
friends, I can tell you I am a happy man
I am back to creating
stories, plots and sub-plots
characters are coming alive and all too real
this is something new
I have always written, for the most part
thrillers
oh, this will be a thriller
what's different
it deals with reincarnation
two people
one in mortal danger
her name is Elin
the other one is confused about what
is happening to him
his name is Touch
I'm charting the waters
taking a dive off the high board
into waters n'er felt before
I am . . . excited
trying to forge a meeting
of two people who have been lovers in
others lives
both of them have danced with the devil
needing each other
to make things right
these two people
are giving me the confidence I thought I'd lost
it is tentatively named
We Meet Again

Quite an interesting premise for a novel!

and ... Haven't we all "danced with the devil?!"

Thank you Bruce, yes indeed we have all performed the devil's dance.

it is sooo good to hear the excitement in your voice!  And because it is all about the journey and not so much the destination...the fact that you seem to be finding so much satisfaction in the writing itself, the end result will be especially good.

Happy writing, Jerry!  It's going to be quite confusing when those two past lovers meet again - like they know but don't know.  Hope it won't keep you away from the blue pages.

Thank you Helen. Yes, they will have to go slow. They haven't gotten together yet, I'm still working on that. Thank you for being here
