suspicion follows dread
to an unfriendly dark alley
trying not to get caught
arms and legs tangled
the two lover's kisses
seems to last as long as
an ocean's tidal wave
ours is a sanctuary within
we have our own deity
lips mashed on my various
creases against my anxiety
my skin, your skin, deliver
our weakness to just say no
to pure hungering appetite
as we both hide our rings
escape into a sinful vortex
of fleshly liberation with no
escape hatch when finished

When caught in "Loves's Riptide" and you are helpless against the undertow, SWIM SIDEWAYS! If you can. Lol Ditto what Lori said. Enjoying your poetry, JP.

Swimming sideways is a possible escape hatch that I hadn't thought of before, MS E. Thank you for your input.

Well done Jerry!

Whew, that ending is a bruiser.
The poetic picture of raw passion.

Appreciate it, Eric, and I agree, the ending has bear trap possibilities.
