there would always be that in the middle place
between you running for cover from the rain
and just standing there nude within it

as if the balance was just keeping score
of how many times you got wet vs didn't
and you could always do makeup games later

if one or the other got out of hand a bit
and if I were to be there liesurely nudging
til sometimes you just lost balance completely

and fell face down between the limbs of pretty
refusing to get back up on your owned two feet
unless I helped pull you back onto my intentions

and let you master me with your sweet submission
