The spell of the moon

The forest gloom just creeping up the shadows fear
And somewhere far, the owls this night to woo
Each gnarled branch a story tells, the wrinkles of the years
Acorns fall, orchids tell of love so true
Like passing ships, this night the clouds the moon to hide
As fireflies dance enchantment is their spell
On unseen ripples fairies surf upon the pond
In deepest dream, reality can’t tell
Lunar fingers, in softest light, their touch you feel
Round mushroom rings you saw them in a trance
The dark so thick, the dawn far too afraid to steal
As bluebells chime the rhythm of their dance
With purest touch Oberon kissed Titania’s lips
And at first light, the bee, the nectar sips

Nice. I love moon poems.

April is the Grass Moon. I wonder if that is why Celebrate Marijuana Day is in April?
