I was a man-child in tha day
And I was just looking to play
Looking for ways to set me free
I searched here and I searched there
Didn’t want to be anyone's square
Looking in the gutters for the key
I walked into places on a dare
Got out with a wing and a prayer
I looked for me and then I'd flee
Fists clenched I was on flash point
Smiling ladies saved me sometimes
I traveled this land from sea to sea
But it is the here and the now
I'm who I am without kowtow
The difference between now and then
Within the last year I found my Zen

It doesn't get any better than that.

Thanks, Ms. E. It's always nice to see your smiling face here. Why do I know it is smiling? Because I just feel you are a smiling kinda girl/woman.

Half way through a good book just now, but needed some poetry between the black and white of life.

This is good, Jerry. We all travel a multitude of paths to find a bit of peacefilled semblance in our days, and nights.

Glad you are liking the book. / Yes, Karilea, we have to find our own paths to the light and happiness.
