.

I cherish
The space
Between us
This no privilege
Less right
To be inside

Ever aware
Of the fatal error
I could have made
I revel unnatural
In solitude

Like a cat at watch
From its balcony
Content with what
There is to see
Out there not here
Apart from me
Going on its
Innocuous way

A single sparrow
Under wooden eaves
A cardinal wings
From tree to tree
April daisies
And yellow honey bees

How I love
These blue sky days

.
