AUTUMN SUNRISE (part 2)

She's walking on the sea-shore, sun-hat in her hand
A gentle breeze is blowing, love patterns in the sand
Behind her eyes her secrets, inside her mind her dreams
While just on the horizon, a sailing boat just gleams

Barefoot she goes walking, the surf up to her knees
The early hours of morning, then someone else she sees
Is this a stranger coming, or someone that she knows
Sea salt on her soft lips, and her complexion glows

Now side by side together, they watch the rising tide
A secret love to cherish, perhaps they should not hide
Entwined their fingers holding, in love, just hand in hand
And then they lie so closely, as one upon the sand.

The gentle waves they murmur, her salt tears he will kiss
A seagull cries above them, no greater love than this
Neath Autumn Sun he tells her, forever you are mine
She looks at the horizon, her eyes begin to shine
