THE MAIDEN'S REPLY

Oh brave knight on bended knee
This fair maiden hears you plea
No Black Knight will I fear
For on your white horse you are near
I want no precious jewels or gold
Only my chivalrous knight to hold
You need not Merlin's magic spell
Or a fiery dragon for you to fell
Just hold me in your strong arm
And with your sword keep me from harm
Only a proclamation from the king
Will make my heart begin to sing
In this kingdom and thru out the land
Let it be known you've won my hand
You hold my heart, you have the key
I gladly give my love to thee
I'll love you till my dying breath
Nothing shall part us, not even death
I pledge my heart, my love and I'll take your name
You boldy proclaimed you want the same

I believe I'd take her up on her offer, brave knight. I mean if there are no fire-breathing dragons to slay and you don't have to part with all those precious jewels and gold, sounds like a darn good deal to me. And besides, she's a fair maiden, that added into the deal and you've really got a good thing here. Retire to Coney Island, lots to do there, and you might even run into a fire-breathing dragon or two.

Sorry Kat, just having fun heah.

Oh, I love this, Kat
Sounds like feelings are the same between the two.

The Arthurian type poems have always been some of my favorites,
and your two certainly have that theme.

I love when a poem continues in another, not matter the subject.
Fun, fun stuff.....:-)

Thank you for both.
