Two old men with distinctive faces
sitting in a garage
talking about the weather
disagreeing about the forecast
hunched over a Farmer’s Almanac
But had Norman been here
painting them today
he would have posed them
going at it
with their smart phones

Yes, I guess he would have. Personally I think we have lost something by the invention of smart phones, but I'm not quite sure what. Personal comradeship.

Yes, I agree that for the generation that teethed on them, there are some very subtle yet vast differences in communication skill sets, same with email etc.

Thanks you two! True story, my husband and his friend arguing over snow in the forecast.  It was comical to watch them. Then the Norman Rockwell vision came to me.
