              The very first Rose

Winter slips  into Spring,
with sweet  Summer dreams of
morning dew sparkling on  wildflowers
or fireflies dancing by moonlight
through these magic mountain meadows
   and forests,
in those rare and precious moments
when all the world seems calm,
awaiting the eternal perfection
of the very first rose.

I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Winter will be just a memory.

"eternal perfection" yes, are roses.
The first ones especially.

The first rose is like the first redwing song I hear, earlier in spring, in the coming of age theatre, that sets the stage
for the advancement of summer.

This is what your poem made me think of,
Thank you for the happy thoughts.

"It is difficult
to get the news from poems
yet men die miserably every day
for lack of what is found there"
