I Ate Them All

I've traveled many lonely miles
Since I've been on this earth
They say that sorrow plants her seeds
With every human birth.

I've laughed a bit and often cried
I've watched the teardrops fall
And each mistake and foolish choice?
I've had to eat them all.

I ate the get of youthful lusts
I've eaten words by score..
No matter how I've failed my course
You'll find me wanting more-

I've my fair share of follies
Some large and some quite small
But be they great, or miniscule
In time I ate them all.

oh I love this........tis a hard lesson to partake of, but oh...so important to learn!

I think this poem shows a lot of wisdom, but I absolutely love the title and how it works into the poem. You make me smile, John.
