Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

You are a word on the tip of my tongue
As if my conversations include you
Because you are no longer here
To see, to touch, or to hug

Yet, I can still smell your essence
When I close my eyes and breathe
It’s as if you are there, sitting
Statuesque, almost regal

Anticipating, waiting for a story
About my day, hoping I would stop by
And squelch the loneliness
That often filled your hours

I miss you

Death wove through my summer
Family, friends, poets and dreamers
Dissipated into the clouds
Beyond where my eyes can see

Yet, you still remain

You are a word on the tip of my tongue
You are the story in my heart
You are the paintings in my mind
You are  - you simply are

And I miss you

the words which unraveled in fornt of my eyes were simply beautiful and left me in a state of awe as to how easily the words flowed

Your grief is such that your love radiates from this piece. Even in your pain you give a sense of peace. I am blessed to be a witness as you share your heart about your mother. I am keenly aware of that time coming ever closer for me. You are a candle flickering in my future. Bless your heart Alison, thank you for your words.

You guys are truly the best.  Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and offer comfort.  Hard times for so many right now as we deal with illness and death.  I think of those who have touched me here in PiP - those who no longer are with us.  I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to know them a tiny bit.  I think of my Mom, my nephew - both died recently ... and I know that I will always have a place for them.  It helps to write again and know I can release some of my thoughts here.

Love you, PiP people.

You sing the words to my song, my friend, and you do it beautifully, lovingly. But the ones I miss are just beyond my sight.

I love reading you, feeling you. And I know all the hearts of which you speak, carry you with them in their souls.
