WORKAHOLIC GLEE
23 February 2012

On a roll
tapping the keys
and shaping a creation
until half past three this morning
for a client who wants the galaxy
and then up at six o’clock
for a jam-packed productive day.
What a buzz!

I drop to sleep every night
like a heavy log falling
oblivious to most
thunderstorms and burglar alarms.

Tonight I will sleep
like a felled plantation
of invasive aliens.
