Earth Song

Sunrise

in the tiny
translucent droplets
of water
shimmering
on the softest touch
of breeze

Morning Dew

everything previously
caressed by night
suddenly bursts forth
in golden fiery splendor
sunrise reflected
countless times

Dawn

What is it heard
soft
on an awakening soul

A bird

and then more
each throwing forth its song
till the sky is full of the glory
of a new day’s

Life

and a baby cries
for it’s mother’s milk
hushes
as the nourishment comes

Earth

awakened to the music
of ancient songs,
to the touch
that causes the soul to shiver
with joy
anticipation

Love

lingers

and the Earth

Sings

Jimmy, this is simply beautiful...I love it.
And loved the ending too.

Dear Jimmy, you wrote a magnificent "Earth Song" that touched my soul.

Loved every line.

This is so lovely, Jimmy.  Yes, earth sings, and then as the day advances I think she cries for all those who do not see, know, feel.

To all my friends who read and comment on my piddlings -

you warm me head to toe, and I'm glad I can't look you in the eye so you can't see me blush at your comments. I cherish all of you.
