ILLUSTRATED
20  January 2013

You danced with the soul
of my words
and painted them
into multi-dimensional magic
of whimsy and depth
for children’s imagination
to follow
and dream
and love
and play
and grow
and glow
and touch
wisdom
and joy
and knowledge
and fly higher than skylarks
way beyond the realm
of adult understanding.

it takes me back to the times I used to read my fantasy novel and play my fantasy games and get connected to the characters even creating emotions making those pixels and words have reality even if the adult mind finds it misplaced isn't a feeling for the notions and ideas the whole drive behind the human being no matter if the words are real or not we shouldn't be judging others with aged truth when sometimes its nice to use the imagination, wonderful piece.

Thank you, RS.  I am glad I recalled happy memories for you.  However, in this particular case, the only parts that are imaginative are the illustrations themselves.  Yann (2islander2) and I collaborated on a children’s book, as yet unpublished.  I wrote the text and he did the illustrations.  I didn’t believe I would ever find an illustrator who would understand my text and thoughts and intentions with it, but Yann has met all of that and so very much more, way beyond my wildest dreams, so much so that I gave him total carte blanche with the illustrations.  This little poem doesn’t begin to express my thanks for his work and my gratitude, excitement, joy and delight at the blending of our understanding of what we both want children to get from the book.

Thank you James.  I am glad you enjoyed it.
