Into the Flower Shop

I was lured into the flower shop
by the vibrant colors and aroma.
This shop seemed like an oasis
in the middle of the desert.
I was in Hong Kong but
I thought I was in heaven,
not expecting to see such beauty
in this part of town.
As I was wandering around
a salesgirl approached me
with a wonderful smile.
"Lovely, aren't they." see said.
I told her the flowers were nice
to look at and the aroma's delicious,
and as I was talking I found myself
thinking those same thoughts about her.
"Can I help you find some flowers" she ask.
That was when I knew I had found
what I was looking for.
"Yes you can Miss, if you were to receive
a dozen flowers from a man that admired you
what would they look like?"
She smiled and said "I'll prepare
those for you right away."
She proceded to pick out the most beautiful
red roses and she wrapped them in paper
and brought them over to me.
I told her I wanted a vase
and she chose that also.
When she was finished arranging the flowers
she placed them on the counter
and pushed them towards me.
I pushed the flowers back to her and told
her "Beautiful flowers for a beautiful woman."
She smiled and said, "You and I would
make the best of friends."
