.

Much of our pasts
Apart neither of us
Seems to remember

We walk along a shore
Created together in our
New found imaginations
The sky so blue the trees
Tall and autumn toned

And we’ve survived
The need for many words
Glances gestures a certain turn
Saying all we now want to know

I nod my head
Toward seabirds gliding
Slowly beneath white clouds
Like angels taking pleasure
In their wings

You touch my arm
With your slender hand
Look at me and smile
