THE RIGHT THING
6 January 2013

Sometimes discovering
or knowing
the truth
and doing the right thing
about it
can shatter one’s heart
and rip one’s liver apart
and wrench out one’s lungs
and crash a battering ram
into one’s solar plexus
with the power of a cannon
and drown oneself in hot tears
but the harder it is
the more right it is
and that is our consolation
and I know
we will both do our part
with every fibre of our being.

I sincerely hope this is not
a devastating decision being made.
You write so convincingly, it tears at my heart. Having been in that place of pertubation and not being quite sure of
how to handle it or which way to face or to whom to turn for advice, causes life to become harder to take in stride.

Thank you, Martyjo for your kindness, compassion and concern. There was no indecision. As soon as the truth was known, the right decision was taken with immediate effect, in all kindness to everyone. There was no other way. It tears at my heart too, but like Diana Ross, I will survive.

this reminds me of tough love Diana.. its called tough for good reason, because its harder on the person giving it then recieving..

if i were to think of things that were pure or right, you would be right on top of the list..
