Drip..................drip.................drip
Frozen fingers
thawing walls
freezer defrosting
in early fall.

Thawing fingers
soggy mittens
lots of "snow" in my driveway
a dichotomy of circumstances
body sweltering
fingers approaching frostbite
making headway, nonetheless

I started to lose my balance
grabbed the freezer's side
and all of a sudden
the lights went out

well, one light,
my hand hit the button
that turns out the freezer light
life can be entertaining
despite its frustrations

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Haha!! Funny, and yes, if you can laugh at your frustrations the road becomes smoother and clearer. Enjoyed this . . .

Life can be excruciating to say the least.
It really blows when you can say "It only hurts when I laugh"

absolutely loved the "deja vu" feel at the end of this my friend... well and humorously done.

lolol yep, one time I am in this big storage vault at work and the pulley that holds the massive wooden door open breaks and the door slams closed....the only thing I was thankful for was that the light switch was on the inside with me.....great write lady

Thanks, all, for reading and taking time to comment; it means a lot to me, as it does to all.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
