An impulsive cry in the dark,
And all of the words sound the same
It sped through the night like a spark,
It was my name! It was my name!

I recognized the voice so sweet,
And it came from a far off land,
Sent her back this message discreet,
I understand! I understand!

This poem is a fine one
The poet has aptly used
Rhyming words with skill
A small piece truly nice.
