We'll never forget

Eleven years have now passed

But our tears still fall

This is very nice suthern, but I have to tell you I am sick to death of our government kow-towing to the very people who are in league with the killers of anybody not Muslim. America, even under Bush, kow-towed to the haters of this country.

Love the pics ... and agree with you and essentially Jerry's ... just another form of "don't tell my Jenny she's failing in school" and patting their hands.  What ever happened to "Backbone!"

They don't teach backbone in school, J, they teach compassion, they teach so much compassion I feel like puking. Sorry, suthern, didn't mean to take over and start rambling. I'll stop.

Thank you, dear Ruth, for this intense reminder. Yes, tears still flow. And even when there are no more tears, the sorrow will still flood the hearts.

Love and peace.

jwesley: I'm glad you like the pics.

Ms E: Thank you, sweet lady... so very much. (((HUGS))) People I never knew... I will never forget. *S*

JL: Thank you so much... for both the liking and the statistics. I took my niece  this spring... I'd warned her I'd cry at the 9/11 memorial because my last trip to NYC was in 1996... and where I'd waited in line for discount theatre tickets and swayed to sweet music at free concerts was gone. What I didn't expect was my hands touching the fence that surrounds The Sphere... as if reaching for that time of music and theatre and innocence - and the wave of emotion that survivor of hell unleashed in me.

Margherita: I knew I didn't have the words... thus the pictures. *S* Thank you very much for reading my heart!!!

Thank you for this stark (in the nicest sense) and very effective reminder, Ruth.

Something none of us will ever forget and it seems that Lybia and Egypt gave us another little reminder yesterday.

Beautiful pictures of beautiful memorials.  It's almost paradoxical with the emotion most of our generation associates with 9/11, but completely in line with the human spirit exhibited by those 343 fire fighter, the people of New York, and our nation as a whole in supporting them.  I hope the significance of these memorials is never lost to younger generations.

Owl: Thank you very much! Stark is a very appropriate adjective. *S* I can't imagine how much more my heart would have been wrung if One World Tower/Freedom Tower, which is nearing completion, wasn't now rising into the skyline... for it is a shining statement of resilience.

JM: Thank you so much - I'm very glad you liked!

Marchmadness: Thank you.

Michael: My hope joins yours, dear friend... and if the somber, respectful explanations I heard parents sharing with their children is the norm, our hopes will be fulfilled. Thank you very much!
