it was obvious
this was her big, black death book
she cracked it open
and asked me to spell my name
it wasn't too long a list

The touch of melancholy can't be ignored here, dear Spiros, it is powerful.

Instead of "black" I think of that list as "white" ... associating it with freedom.

if i told you some of the story behind this poem even you--the man of great experience--
would slightly freak..but i can't discuss it now.i should write a short story..thanks,
