Blue Moon

The sky is still cloudless
Brings still heat of the sun
Harvest is well advanced
Bounteous crops enrich
Farmers pray gratitude

The summer freedom ends
Children return to schools
Cornfest draws to a close
Community prepares
Harvest dinners are planned

Forest paths grow silent
Squirrels scramble for food
Building their winter stash
Deer no longer babies
Practice at adult games

Summers magic slips by
Cooler mornings refresh
Dreams are never wasted
The stars always answer
Blue moons wishes await

What a lovely groping of words and phrases, Karen. Beautiful and it all seems so easy for you. Enjoyed this so much.

Dreams are never wasted

How absolutely beautiful, dear Karen! You anticipate the magic of the Blue Moon with very captivating verses.

Much enjoyed.
