I days gone by
There has been pain
Pain I could have avoided
With different choices
Though that pain in a way I never
Thought was all forgiven tho not forgot
With words and healing about
The beginning to the bittersweet end
Enabling me to live again
To take a chance
And melt the ice that had become
My heart
I had been denying that important part
Diving into serving others
Which will continue for is my passion
With a richer fuller me to give
For I will no longer deny
My capacity to love
To not share all that I am
Giving and receiving what is needed
Wanted and desired
Now without fear
As an adult with
Honesty, communication
No little girl illusions
No preconceived notion on how its
Supposed to look or be
That’s to be between the we
The him and me……….

           Thank You
