a zephyr moves the night
giving the trees their soft sway
rustling leaves
'neath the moon's glow
bright tonight
like a highlight from heavens' portal
causing the dark to recede
spotlighting the grass
bending in cadence with the leaves
as they quiver from the gentle wind
serene is the night
then . . .
harsh light streams through an opened window
naked is the beam it projects
fat, harsh
are the colors as it stabs the night
noise from inside the opened window
strident laughing
disrupting the peace and quiet of before
as though by rote
the leaves began their dance
as if trying to
come to terms with the harshness
of the window's bright
and now
the constellation
Orion, the Hunter watches with
frowning intensity

Loved the write, my friend.
That close is picture perfect.
