sometimes I call her
just to listen to her voice
as she sweetly informs me
she is busy
please leave a message
listening to her voice
is like listening to music
sometimes as she is instructing me
about the message
I get a whiff of her perfume
when that happens
the hairs on the back of my neck rises

I once had a voice mail that I played over and over and over again... lost it when I lost my phone service after Ike... so I definitely understand how much a simple recorded message can say!
