Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2012-07-18 12:49 PM

Jet lights pass between
stars clustered
in late night sky
Balm of coolness
breezes release
from heat held day
Footsteps crunch
across brittle crisp
of dry dead grass
Garden hose
with at first warm water
snakes along
to refresh and refill
Porch chairs creak
then candlelight flickers
upon listeners
to the night

Yep, I've heard those sounds and you've put them to pen very nicely in this writing.
Something about that calm that's so penetrating to the senses.

You put me on that porch with you. Wonderful poetry.

sat outside last night at dusk, a few bats about as the sun set, your writing really homes in on that tranquil feeling

My girlfriend is in Utah and this is exactly the way she has been describing the evenings up there lately.
This is beautifully atmospheric writing I reckon.
Wow,well done indeed.I will search for more of your work.
