Will there ever be a love that strong again?
8 years I held on to it so tight

a myriad of beautiful tales and poems
I did write.

The past is lovely,
but mostly
and justly
forgotten.

But still, so lovely to read
like a book written by an unknown author
I know him not, anymore.

and now...
countless lovers
nay lovers, just faces
have passed through time
in the night

I have not held on to one
so long
since...

perhaps one lingers still
but here I have chosen
to omit

an unfully realized love.

Is this a lesson I learned
in recompense?
or is it just faded beauty?

We hold nonchalantly
and don't grip so tightly
what we circumspect to fail?

And here...
Now...
What tales will we tell?

I see a few days gather in the near future
in a week, what will come
I know not.

but there are a few times in life
we see on the horizon
such life altering decisions
and possibilities that we have no control over

However, we forget
every day is...
just like that.

Every decision we make
spins an infinite number of possibilities
thrown onto the wind of fate.

Probably the reason you have not help onto loves very long is because you never want to go through the pain of losing them again. Good write . . .

~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~

I fell in love with this line

"The past is lovely,
but mostly
and justly
forgotten."

Beautiful. You spoke the hidden words in my heart.
