Day and Night Visions

First came Jerry with “Fall of the Sun”
and a photo that burned with beauty
with words that took us on secret trysts
where moonbeams brought his vision to life

Amaryllis with her “Firefly”
delighting with a magical light
brought to life with her gaudy brothers
in a vision that says “Here. I am.”

Helen shares her words of “Morning Break”
filled with a monument toheartbreak
and loves’ familiar loneliness
we shed tears as this vision unfolds

Eric sings us “Living in the Past”
singing of forgotten yesterdays
while taking us on a magic trip
where his visions brought forth sighs and smiles

Michael gives us “08-23-03”
a trip that shows us “brilliant sunrise”
bringing the best of nights’ fantasy
in a vision that makes the heart sigh

Day and Night Visions fill the spirit
uplifting with shared experience
taking us on personal vision
written from the hearts of great poets

Wonderful that you included me in this poem of such stalwarts, and thank you, Karen, for doing that.

Please. Please do not leave yourself out of this grouping, Karen, because your poems are the ones I mostly like to sit back and just shake my head at its magnificence.

I love it when poets inspire another poet... It's a double treat for the readers!!!

How absolutely lovely this is, dear Karen! It shows how you really enjoy the beautiful poetic offerings here on Pip and how deeply they inspire you.

You are a most precious presence here indeed.
