And so, now the sun begins to
hide her head in darkest clouds.
Thunderheads with silent lighting
drifting our way--troubled night ahead
The five-year-old (great-grand-daughter)
showing us her latest "ouchy" convinced
it will never go away--that blister.
She is all we have tonight of fort-two
years of marriage-- but it's enough.
Her mother no doubt "cruising" looking
for that lonely guy to give her love.
Well, best of luck to her--we are not
judges, and besides, who has the energy?
In the morning, Father's Day, its out for
breakfast, and then the five-year-old
goes home with her mother.
Have to go now, "Sponge Bob" is on the
television and someone wants me to watch
with her.

Don't sound like a bad way to spend pre-Father's Day to me.
