Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

Sometimes words
freeze like icicles
on the brain
and break off
into tiny pieces
to simply
disappear

wow ... a minus 59 ... rather impressive
(although I found the environs near the
  S. pole to be even colder frequently)

perhaps thoughts and emotions can 'deep-freeze'
as well?!  ... would that 'Time' would do so also!

Bruce, you are right.  However, in December and January (2012) the temperatures have been lower in interior and northern Alaska.  It's all a crap shoot.

And we have the nerve to whine about a little rain here. My thoughts froze just reading this.

The good thing, Ida, is Alaskans have so much hot air that we tend to keep ourselves pretty warm.

I enjoyed your twist on words and thoughts here Alison. Much enjoyed!

Now ... I just need to repeat to myself and this Ontario weather "I will not complain, I will not complain, I will not complain", lol.

Best wishes,
/Kit

The poem and picture is simply cool and I truly don't mind the cold as long as I don't wake up freezing. Sending you sunny smiles to warm you days.

Ack, I responded to each of you personally and I lost it.  I knew I should have saved after each response.

Dark one, a speedo?  Really?  Ack, I carved my eyes with an icicle.  Honestly?  A speedo.  Ick.  Ewww.

Margherita,  your friendship and beauty warm me - and it is above 0 now.  See how you do that to me. xoxoxo

Kit, I don't see it as complaining - we are simply weather obsessed!

Michael, like a night out on the town drinking slupries?

suthern, I think that there is a law about us getting together.  Something about too much fun and rowdy antics.  Something like that.  xoxoxoxo

JL ... you are a joy to me.

BobK, thank you for so much, but especially sending friendship my way.  It helps thaw the soul.

Lori, you often make me smile .. kinda like this   Scarey, huh.

jimmy, there is beauty in this frozen world.  It just needs the warmth of the south to thaw it out from time to time.  xoxoxox

yann, love that you loved the map too.  I did.  Thank you, my friend from afar.

Ken, you warmed with your response.  Loved it.

Thank you all from a thawing out friend in the north.
