Silver

and across the sky
you spoke
like rain in dancing drops
showering liquid language
slight silver kisses in play
cascading persistent poetry
in a butterfly drizzle
of shower’s dawn
my eyes met mist
overtaken by exposure
and when I went to speak
I only heard
a sigh

"I wish that I was beautiful or you were half way blind"
Harry Chapin

Such a wonderful poem, 1slick_lady. The wish, desire, wonderment is all there. You named yourself right, you are 1slick_lady.

Beautiful words, Helen. You are one of the few that can do really good romantic poetry.
