Another corny poem of love . . .

I awakened from a dream on cloud nine,
And there I was not like the other men,
Oh, I knew the women and they were fine,
That was before I walked into her den.
My eyes rested upon such flawlessness,
I had seen beauty but never like hers,
She was wearing a simple scooped neck dress,
She was a queen and I felt like a cur.
Life until then was fraught with many lies,
As I moved through them I was half asleep,
My untold secrets sometimes made me cry,
If all were told they would make me feel cheap.

But my queen delivered me, yes she did,
I wondered why so long my secrets hid.

Sometimes it just takes the right person to be able to open up to; and when you can, there is such a deep seeded comfort and tranquility in that.

Nice write, Jerry!!
And I am glad your queen is taking care of you.

(I had to look-up “scooped neck dress”
I had no idea what that was)…
