The End of the Beginning

Regressing forward, fore aback,
this tone, a pigment, the wailing notion,
slip of languish, lie unwritten,
oral honor, fingered breach

How much would today even matter
if tomorrow, was simply never invented?

Or is next day just really yesterday that came in
through a different gate, that creaks in the wind?

Sometimes one of two just wants
things to progress maybe faster than the
next, because they forget that patience too,
is also a form of action.

As simple as the moment, that warded off misfortune,
it only takes one equal, while of impatience,
to be the ruin of two whole lives.

Where is the point in the twosome future
where things start to shift, from wish to ambition,
where touch is a sound and beauty becomes fragrance
when still, is a lifetime and thought drips like anguish,
as songs lay down crying when need lost its reason?

Today was just such an awful day for me
but then I’m hoping with everything that I am,
it gets better before this day vanishes, forever.

Funny, how simply not being able to tell that one
person how much you absolutely love them
in the morning, can essentially ruin your whole day.

Especially when the night before didn’t exactly end,
on the best of terms.

What would she have thought if something had happened
to me, and that was our last moment together?

The possibility scares me to death that somewhere in
the back recess of her mind, she might have thought,
that I didn’t still love her more than life itself.

Or if god forbid, what if, something happened to her?

How would I ever know that in her last thoughts,
if she still realized, and new, how much I truly
adored her?

Not to mention, what that would do to me.

Why does fear, have to be the married partner of love anyway?

Sure I had, tripped over devotion before, but this
is the first time I ever, fell in love with someone,
and I know now for certain, that I have fallen forever.

It is almost impossible to describe what she means
to me, as mere words would only diminish how beautiful
she has become in the heart of my worship for her.

The way her eyes smile when I talk to her makes me
feel like I just tasted life and saw softness for the very
first time.

And yet, it will never matter if she is even perfect in every
way or not, because as long as she is on this earth, she will
forever be, perfect for me.

As it was her who made my soul first crawl out from the dim,
under the gravel of disquietude when sadness was my roommate
and pallor, was my becoming.

Stay with me my love in this era of our decree,
when absolute begins to revolve around journey and passage,
as today is our promise that tomorrow will forever keep.

In the beginning, it was so easy to like her,
after I had learned what actually makes her laugh,
but it wasn’t until I really learned what makes her cry
did I entirely realize how much, I truly
loved her.

Plenty of food for thought here, Rich. I especially like this..."or is next day just really yesterday that came through a different gate that creaks in the wind."
