I bent hyacinths into words
and put them on paper in attempts to draw love in letters
convincing you to read them in sequence and fall for me
fall for me with no remorse.

I poured an expensive beer on paper
and wrote in it with my desire for you.
not even only for your flower,
but for your mind and eyes
for your eyes that shine bright like the sea
just before a storm hits.

I wrote a poem for you
in expensive beer, desire, and hyacinths
it read that I will be the storm in your eyes
the desire that shook the walls of the earth
with every beat of our hearts
I will be the blooming of the flower of attraction
and I will chip away at you.

Pure romanticism on display here in fine fashion (although, personally, I think it's a waste of expensive beer).

Nicely done, sir.

Yo viking dude. I have been reading your work for awhile here and have always admired your talent. Your just keep getting better and better in my belief. I have always liked your straight forward style of writing but feel you are getting more and more poetic and the depth of feeling just keeps growing. Keep writing you viking horn head and I will keep reading and enjoying.

balladeer -- Thank you sir! I didn't say I poured the whole thing out! You rock.

Greeneyes, Thank you so very much. I'm from Stillwater, it's the mid-east portion of the state, right across the river from Hudson, Wisconsin.

I think bending hyacinths into words is a violet passion, which lies softly somewhere between blue and red, waiting like clouds gathering rain to slake thirst.  I had to smile at the fact you don't wait for rain, but find beer a more promising venue for romance.  Spoken like a Viking!

If it weren't for the passion so sweetly set forth here, I'd think it was disappearing ink.

This was awesome Paul.

I agree with Zeigeist(missing the 't')...you are delving into even more poetic depths of expression.
I wish I was back in that mode like that.
But reading stuff like this puts my mind back in that place.

Well done.

Oh, and please do not waste that expensive beer!

I'll buy you all a round, on me, to make up for it.

Thank you chalmette, you're too kind, and I'm not worthy of such things, especially from you.

Paul,

I don't love beer so write away!  I do love hyacinths and you bent them into words with skill.  I would be upset if you had wasted them.

Keep writing and I'll keep tagging along and reading.  Deal?
