For the road, I made him a MP3 CD,
all the songs that remind him of me.

"The Book Of Love" by Peter Gabriel,
"Home" by Michael Buble,
"Sentimental Lady" Bob Welch,
Nickelback's "Far Away"

England Dan and John Ford Coley,
Little River Band and Shania Twain,
Simon and Garfunkel, Alabama,
and CCR's "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?"

Steve Forbert, Steven Bishop,
James Taylor and Fleetwood Mac,
Sarah McLachlan, Phil Collins,
and Player's "Baby Come Back"

Badfinger, Queen, BTO,
America, Bread, Puddle Of Mud,
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young,
Jim Croce, and Wynonna Judd.

About 8 hours of listening time,
songs of what is and what was,
didn't mean for it to make him sad
or cry, but it does.

I sit at home playing the same CD,
the first song is "Bluer Than Blue"
he knows me well, I don't have to say
the darn thing makes me cry too.

Keep on rockin' and rollin' baby;
every mile, every song, every tear
is one step closer
to you being back here.

awww, that is very very sweet!
I bet even though it makes you two cry, it also brings you closer.

Yo dear Passing shadows,

This is a nice picture of the driver and his rig.  It's a very good poem too.

You've always had great taste in music, Dixie. I listen to mine(from you) daily while going to and from anywhere in the car and in the nicer weather, on the porch while resting in the swing.
