music on this moon-frost night
sadness in a thousand chords
all thoughts trend to emptiness
amid the indifferent shadows
   and press of years
her fine, true spirit … missing
memories sweet and cruel

This is why I save all of your poetry. Bruce. Your poetry may be melancholy but it is also divine, containing that spark of genius that is so rare.

Bruce,

My favorite part of the Olympic opening ceremony was listening to Donald Sutherland read the poetry and quotes. I can hear him read your poem - and it is beautiful in my head and on the PiP pages. You have a heart that reaches out to many of us.
