Steam

You are fire and I am water this I discern.
That does not mean you can’t thirst for me,
Or that my heart, for you, will not burn.
I could douse the tongues of your flame,
Or you could boil away the waters of my sea.
But we two are certain to make steam if we strike the right degree.
We circle closer and I whisper your name.
I can feel what you’re hoping to be
I know well the desires each of us claim.
Though the forces we avatar refuse to be tame,
I refuse to halt my advancing heart.
Forward I strain against order and sense to impart,
The embrace of arms and hands.
And with a kiss we break the binding bands.

And I thought Vegas was supposed to have dry heat.
