On hot tar nights you cast a die of shadows
Letting the bones roll softly against the satin of your palms
Before the moon bends a voyeured grin to hips as they keep
Time with the whisper of your words
In an incantation of wind against limbs
Such this sighed cool of heat

Thin cotton clings to form
And the outline pleases the fit of hand in solace
For the too hot sun and all the clouds that grow
Along boundaries drawn on maps where it a hard
Act balanced of such delicate weight upon
The divinity of outstretched fingertips

Letting them roll across the sheet await, to begin
A count of points to seven; less you lose it all
And have nothing left
To hide from eyes that watch you move
Devouring sands drop from glass

Barometers and time
Run low against the tides as watching moon
Tugs softly on the hem
Making cotton fall with roll of 4
Leaving  curve of throat
complete

I watch the curtain rise to hand of breeze
Catching soft the pale of skin with enrapt eyes
And once again
Believe

You give rise to summer's
shimmer, and reason as to
why it is warmer than it
might otherwise be.

Thank you Ms Sun...  I should perhaps rethink my scribbles. Don't want to contribute to global warming or anything and fall under EPA regulations now do I?

first, welcome to PIP! Hope you enjoy your stay here and find a place that feels like home to you!

Secondly... I'm not sure anyone should wish to write like I do.... but thank you for such a kind thought and for taking time to read my scribbling.
