Here

to you

my daughter

titch

remember

that you called me this:

a drunken bit of uselessnes:

and I won't be around.

You

my son

is more the same--

you won't even claim your name...

optioned individual

you're drained

like some residual

eight year old

that fried a cat

in a microwave...

I'm never going to know the truth

we're never going to be the same

as we lose all that we had

you shield your eyes against the sun

blinding bright to dazzling

dancing dizzy

being young

caustic

hating everything

by whims and whistles

and the grunge

of waking

in absurdity.

I'll miss the teddy bears.

Excellent write. I can't access the youtube on this rig, but the words here are very well-composed, and sadly too often true.

"How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is
To have a thankless child."

Sometimes I believe that Freud's three phases of gratification development correspond to the three hardest trainings almost everybody goes through, and the adolescent hormonal one is the most difficult. Well, despite what David Bowie may have sung, Mark Twain assures us they/we will grow up and out of it. So, Best wishes, and please excuse the mini-rant.

Methinks that mine was the mini-rant;yours was so much more lucid.

I would have been gone five years ago but I don't know how to pack.

Thanks for readying me...easy.
